I suppose if someone was just wanting to try out FF14, bought the Starter version, and wanted to take advantage of the free Heavensward campaign, being on Steam would screw them out of that.
I mean, sure, you could buy either Stormblood or Shadowbringers and get Heavensward for free (immediately for Stormblood, eventually for Shadowbringers), but that isn't exactly the point being made here. For the sake of equality and all that, Steam *should* have the same deals as Mogstation. as much as it isn't a big deal, he *does* have a point. Plus why should someone need to buy Stormblood for both expansions prior to Shadowbringers? Since even pre ordering Shadowbringers only grants you access to the previous expansions on the launch day?Įhhh.
Ya know, the people that only own the base game who would also like to benefit from the deal. It's about how the option should be there for anyone that doesn't have it.
